In our Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace session for September, we will discuss microaggressions and microaffirmations.
Microaggressions are defined as the everyday, subtle, intentional — and oftentimes unintentional — interactions or behaviors that communicate some sort of bias toward historically marginalized groups.
Micro-affirmations are small acknowledgment of another person’s value. It’s a subtle act of inclusion and kindness that goes a long way in building a culture of belonging.
