Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that is designed to take the waking consciousness through a task of observation while allowing the subconscious mind to become more present.
We use the technique of “rotation of consciousness” to calm the mental distractions of the mind (money-mind chatter) so that it becomes easier to connect to the emotions and deep seated beliefs of the subconscious mind. This also provides a regular practitioner of yoga nidra the opportunity to start working with specific situations/challenges in their life by introducing lucid dreaming techniques like asking a question or asking for guidance with a problem.
By entering a state of mindful awareness of your body, the systems and energy of the body are able to deeply relax and release latent stress and tension. It is said that 1 hour of yoga nidra is the equivalent to 4 hours of restful sleep.
This session will include an introduction into yoga nidra and the setting on an intention (sankalpa), followed by a 60 minute Yoga Nidra session which will explore topics of empowerment, self value and success.
Facilitated by Tendai Angela Jambga-Rokkones.
*This event is free.*
