Join our digital panel discussion Springboard: Job Creation for and by Immigrants & Internationals.
You can register for it HERE. This event is FREE of charge.
The purpose of this panel is to address the challenges people of immigrant backgrounds face in Norway, particularly as they relate to securing employment or growing their own businesses. In Norway, immigrants, internationals, and repats find it difficult to find work, especially those that match their skills and education. Also, they can not easily access societal and institutional structures that facilitate employment opportunities, job creation, and network building. Some of them face challenges on the basis of nationality, religion, culture, language, and thinking styles, irrespective of their skill, profession, or academic attainment. With this panel, we would like to highlight these challenges, take note of best practices, and provide tools, resources and networks to improve the livelihoods and wellbeing of our target group. Along with that, through the broader Springboard program, we also aim to challenge and shatter personal and societal limitations that have been internalized by people in our target group, and chart a new way forward, together.
At this panel discussion, you will hear from:
1. Aiko Yamashita, Senior Data Analyst at DNB.
2. Astrid Sundberg, Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Oda.
3. Ndey Jobarteh, Organisational Advisor at Sammen om en Jobb, Founder and CEO of Jobs Consulting Group, Norway and The Gambia.
4. Chisom Udeze, Founder of Diversify and HerSpace.
