Economic Justice
Reducing Inequality Through Economic Justice
At Diversify, our work on Economic Justice focuses on promoting equity in employment, wealth distribution, power sharing, and access to critical resources. We are dedicated to dismantling systemic structures that marginalize individuals and communities—particularly women, Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups.
Our intersectional focus recognizes the complex interplay of social identities and systems of privilege or disadvantage, we strive to address compounding inequalities. Our programs aim to redistribute resources and opportunities, foster collaboration across diverse groups, and create environments of mutual understanding and cooperation.
How We Engage
What We Do
Approach to Economic Justice
Our Economic Justice work prioritises:
- Dismantling systemic inequality, providing care for our beneficiaries and measuring impact.
- Ensuring economic participation, agency, and success are transformative, sustainable, and scalable for those most affected.
- Sustainable wealth creation for our beneficiaries.
- Influencing policies and sharing power to drive lasting, equitable change.
Through data-driven programming and cross-sector collaboration, we reimagine economic systems to empower all individuals. By engaging policymakers, businesses, and communities, we seek to drive sustainable, inclusive growth and equity.
Our holistic approach aspires to create measurable, lasting change at individual, organizational, and societal levels, amplifying the voices of those most impacted by systemic inequities while fostering greater equity and cooperation.
Driving Systemic Change
We employ a multi-stakeholder approach to drive systemic change through four interconnected pathways:
Driving Systemic Change
We advocate for equity by conducting research, facilitating dialogue, and transferring knowledge from marginalized communities to policymakers. By prioritizing those historically excluded, we aim to shift power dynamics and influence decisions that directly impact their lives, fostering systemic change at the policy level.
Societal Impact
Our scalable, sustainable, and intersectional solutions create lasting impact by co-designing projects with the communities most affected.
We foster a win-win scenario, uniting privileged and underserved communities with diverse stakeholders to reduce wealth inequality through meaningful interventions. We measure both tangible and intangible impacts using data-driven processes.
Through co-creating impact-driven solutions, we generate jobs, enhance financial wellbeing, and directly reduce inequality, amplifying economic opportunities and prosperity for marginalized groups.
Workplace Interventions
Workplaces are pivotal arenas for change, often more agile than governmental systems in adopting equitable policies and practices. Through collaboration with organizations, we implement initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes within shorter timeframes, positioning workplaces as drivers of tangible progress in reducing inequality.
Community Partnerships
As an organization founded and led by people from marginalized communities, we prioritize building partnerships with marginalised and undererpresented groups to understand their lived experiences, co-create solutions, and amplify their voices. This includes addressing systemic barriers through education, resource access, and initiatives that empower communities to advocate for equity.
Our holistic approach aspires to create measurable, lasting change at individual, organizational, and societal levels, amplifying the voices of those most impacted by systemic inequities while fostering greater equity and cooperation.
Advancing Inclusive Employment Practices
We advocate for diverse representation and equitable opportunities across industries, particularly in leadership roles. Our efforts focus on enabling meaningful power-sharing for historically excluded groups to create systems that reflect and uplift diverse perspectives.
Creating Jobs and Supporting Entrepreneurship
We design initiatives that facilitate meaningful employment and empower marginalized communities to participate in the workforce and launch entrepreneurial ventures. These efforts aim to shift and redistribute power more equitably within economic systems.
Fostering Workforce Inclusion
By addressing barriers to entry and retention for marginalized communities, we work to build inclusive workplaces where diversity fuels innovation, collaboration, and sustained progress.
Democratizing Access Through Policy Advocacy
We champion equitable access to essential services—including healthcare, education, and financial systems—by advocating for policies that dismantle systemic discrimination and prioritize fairness and inclusion.

Some of our programming
to foster economic justice
Nexus has been developed to address socio-economic discrimination and difficulties that people with immigrant background face in Norway when securing relevant and skilled employment. The Nexus Mentorship Program will reduce some of the common barriers that immigrants face when trying to enter the Norwegian job market.
Entrepreneurial training program KRAFT is an actionable solution to the employment and professional development challenges that immigrants and people from underrepresented backgrounds face in Norway. Through the Kraft program, participants will receive the tools, resources and network needed for sustainable professional development and personal empowerment.
Springboard empowers immigrants, especially women, with the tools they need to start their own businesses. The primary goal of this project is to provide professional training through detailed courses and mentorship for immigrants to secure the skills and knowledge they need to improve their lives and start sustainable businesses.
HerSpace is a diverse and inclusive community where self-identifying women (henceforth, “women”) can work, belong and thrive.
At HerSpace we are intentionally cultivating a safe space where our community will be seen, heard, and empowered to flourish in their social, economic, and personal lives.
Our mission is to create a diverse and inclusive world where self-identifying women have access to the resources they need to grow their business and create lasting impact in their communities. We achieve this through programs that target professional development and networking, promote mental health and wellness, creativity and social gatherings.
