Come and have some fun while being empowered to pursue a positive view of yourself. We are starting with the person in the mirror. Face it, it’s tough being you, but you are doing the best you can with what you have. Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and be happy being you. While we can’t change difficult situations, we can work together to plan for challenges that come with being a teenager.
Location: Oslo International Hub, Oscarsgate 27, Oslo.
Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
Date: October 15, 2019.
Facilitator Bios
This workshop will be facilitated by Alicia Partee (Clinical Therapist) and Sara Pestana (Family Therapist).
Alicia Partee is a Clinical Therapist. She has over 20 years of experience in the disruptive, fast-paced world of Silicon Valley where she led projects and teams at Fortune 500s, start-ups and non-profit organizations. In 2006, she stepped back from the corporate world, and made a successful career transition into mental health. After her Silicon Valley background, Alicia couldn’t help but think about how technology could scale mental health services and solutions and help people thrive. When Alicia moved to Norway, she discovered that the challenges of moving and thriving abroad – emotionally, socially and professionally – were manifold and widely felt by people and families in transition. Since 2016, Alicia has actively helped women in leadership to thrive as the VP of Mentorship and thereafter, President of the Professional Women’s Network in Norway. Soon after, she founded Global Counselling Solutions, a service dedicated to empowering people to thrive abroad, and then co-founded Generation Mobility, a technology driven solutions provider aimed at helping organizations take care of their global workforce and their families
Sara Pestana is a Portuguese Family Therapist at Generation Mobility, where she helps global citizens overcome the challenges of moving abroad. With a master’s degree in psychology, Sara started her career in Portugal, where she worked with different populations, first with children and youth at several schools and then with victims of human trafficking. In Oslo she has been developing different workshops and groups on topics related to transition, aiming to support and empower those who are living outside of their home country. Sara is passionate about working with people and helping them develop the right tools to thrive in their lives, and on her free time she travels and practices photography.
This event is open to youths 18 years and above.

ABOUT DIVERSIFY YOUTH SERIES
In collaboration with Frifond, Oslo International Hub, and Rahwa Gebrekidan, Diversify is happy to present a youth series to address topics that affect youths in Norway and beyond. The primary goal is to provide a judgement free space where participants feel empowered to be their authentic selves, flaws and all. To execute this project, we have collaborated with experts who will facilitate these sessions. We look forward to seeing you there.
