Join Diversify as our new Project Manager!

Diversify is a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of health, economic justice, Migration, Society and Integration and Global Inequalities. We are dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and equitable society through innovative projects and initiatives.

We are seeking a Project Manager to support our work. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on management, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects while contributing to a cohesive and motivated team environment.

This role is open to individuals residing in Oslo or the surrounding region. Applicants must hold a valid work permit or have the legal right to work in Norway. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor work visas for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution
    • Co-create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, tailored to projects that center our beneficiaries.
    • Collaboratively shape project goals and objectives, bringing relevant stakeholders to the table and making sure everyone’s strengths shine while staying aligned with our shared vision.
    • Keep projects on track by staying flexible, celebrating milestones, and making sure we deliver impact right on time.
  2. Coordination Across Multiple Projects
    • Prioritize tasks and resources across concurrent projects, ensuring efficiency and avoiding bottlenecks.
    • Spot connections and potential roadblocks early, tackling challenges with creativity and care before they become a problem.
    • Stay on top of it all with a bird’s-eye view of every project, sharing clear and reliable updates that keep everyone in the loop. Ask for help when needed.
  3. Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communication, internally and externally.
    • Facilitate regular check-ins with the team and stakeholders to review progress, address challenges, and gather feedback.
    • Translate complex project updates into clear, actionable information for stakeholders.
  4. Resource Allocation and Team Management
    • Allocate resources (time, budget, personnel) effectively across projects based on priorities and team capacity.
    • Support team members by removing obstacles, clarifying roles, and ensuring they have the tools they need.
    • Foster collaboration within the team, leveraging individual strengths and ensuring accountability.
  5. Risk Management
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions.
    • Anticipate challenges across projects and implement contingency plans where necessary.
  6. Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all deliverables meet organizational standards and project requirements.
    • Conduct regular reviews to maintain quality and address any deviations from the project plan.
  7. Reporting and Documentation
    • Maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation, including data-driven progress reports, budgets, and lessons learned.

Skills and Competencies

  • 3+ Years of Project Management experience
  • Time Management: Effectively juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Communication: Convey ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Address challenges proactively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Leadership: Motivate and guide a team of interns and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Maintain accuracy in planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Adaptability: Adjust plans and priorities quickly in response to changing circumstances. Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting a wide range of tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on inclusive planning and thoughtful task prioritization. Demonstrates high cultural intelligence and the ability to foster meaningful collaboration within diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva).
  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Norwegian language proficiency is an advantage).
  • Willingness to learn.

What we offer:

  • Project-based employment with meaningful impact.
  • Part-time role (50%) with the possibility of becoming full-time in the coming months.
  • Start date: April 1 2025 (can potentially be a little earlier)
  • Project duration: At least 9 months, with the potential for extension based on funding.

Chisom Udeze

Founder of Diversify, Diversify Consult, HerSpace & The Annual

Chisom is an Economist, a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Strategist, and a 3 times founder of impact driven companies. She has over 14 years of experience working with organizations like the European Commission, The United Nations, ExxonMobil and The Economist Group. Chisom is analytical and a data enthusiast. She is passionate about interrogating the cross-sectoral relationship between society’s inhabitants, resources, production, technology, distribution and output. She efficiently and effectively unlocks complex systems, interprets data, forecasts socio-economic trends and conducts research.

Having lived and worked in 7 countries across 3 continents, she is highly adaptable to different circumstances and people, and thrives in uncertain environments.

As the founder of Diversify and Diversify Consult, Chisom and her team work with companies, institutions, governments and civil society to develop sustainable DEIB strategies and embed measurable diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace and society. In addition, in 2022, Diversify launched the Diversify Nordics Summit, the largest conference in the Nordics that gathers cross-sectoral stakeholders to amplify DEIB in the Nordics and beyond.

In 2020, she founded HerSpace, a diverse and inclusive co-creation community for all genders, with particular focus on women and non-binary people. In 2022, HerSpace launched HerTech, Women in Tech incubator, for women-led companies, with a focus on the inclusion of diverse founders.
